Early Election Tests Power Of Trump Endorsement — These Results Will Shock You

If anyone questioned Donald Trump’s political influence in today’s GOP then the recent elections in Texas should erase all doubt.

The Former President flexed his endorsement muscle leading up to the primary elections in Texas.

Every candidate endorsed by Trump in Texas’s Republican primaries have either won or are substantially leading their races, unequivocally solidifying Trump’s kingmaker status within the Republican Party.

The 45th president gave his stamp of approval — a much coveted prize among Republican hopefuls — to 33 candidates. Polling out of Texas has already shown that GOP voters are more likely to support candidates who have Trump’s stamp of approval.

President Trump released a written statement celebrating the candidates on their success:

“Big night in Texas! All 33 candidates that were Trump endorsed have either won their primary election or are substantially leading in the case of a runoff. Governor Abbott and Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick have won in a landslide. Thank you, and congratulations to all!”

Trump’s endorsement secured the nomination of incumbent Gov. Greg Abbott , who faced fierce primary opposition from former State Sen. Don Huffines and former State Party Chairman Allen West. He also lifted two of House Republicans’ top recruits to the nomination without a runoff: Monica De La Cruz and Wesley Hunt, who are both at 56% with well over half the votes counted.

Known failure Democrat Beto O’Rourke won the Democrat gubernatorial primary election and will face off against Abbott in November.

The Texas primaries are an early indication of what’s to come as midterm elections kick off later this year. Texas holds primaries earlier than any other state, thus painting a clear picture of what’s to come for Trump-backed candidates. This was the first test of Trump’s post-presidency staying power and it appears he’s off to a tremendous start.

Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick congratulated Trump after his primary victory, thanking the President for his undying support amidst his legendary rise within conservative politics.

Meanwhile, Democrats and their propaganda wing have largely buried or ignored the results of Texas’ primary elections. Bottom line, they’re scared, terrified at what this means for November, for 2024, for the foreseeable future, as their agenda fizzles and burns.
