He’s Toast: America Officially Loses All Faith In Uncle Joe

It truly comes as no surprise that Joe Biden has failed to resonate with the American public.

According to a Fox News poll conducted between January 16-19 with 1,001 registered voters and a margin or error of +/- 3%, the number of Americans who “strongly” approve of Joe Biden’s performance as president stands at just 20%.

The poll asked: “Do you approve or disapprove of the job Joe Biden is doing as president?”

47% of respondents approve, 52% disapprove. Only 20% “strongly” approve, down four points from November and tying October’s number. Those who “strongly” disapprove are at 37%, down from November’s high of 41%.

President Biden also scored a new low on another issue. 52% disapprove of his handling of the coronavirus pandemic, while 46% approve.

As for the economy, 58% disapprove, while 41% approve. On foreign policy, 54% disapprove, while 41% approve. And on border security, 59% disapprove, while 37% approve.

The survey also asked respondents who they would vote for if “the 2024 presidential election were held today.” Just 36% said that they would vote for Joe Biden; 60% said that they would “definitely” or “probably” vote for someone else.

On specific issues, 85% are concerned about “inflation and higher prices,” versus 14% who are not; 81% are concerned about high crime, versus 19% who are not; 78% are concerned with “political divisions within the country,” versus 21% who are not.

When asked which party does a better job on select issues, Republicans outperformed Democrats on taxes, the deficit, immigration, the economy, crime, border security, and national security. Democrats scored higher on climate change, racism, health care, coronavirus, protecting democracy, education, and bringing the country together.

More voters believe “federal government policies” are “contributing more to inflation and rising prices” at 48%, versus 42% who believe it’s the “effects of coronavirus.”

As for Vice President Kamala Harris, the numbers aren’t too great either. When asked about the vice president, 54% disapprove, while 43% approve.

The survey also asked those polled “if the election for Congress were held today,” who would they vote for. The Republican candidates narrowly edged out the Democrats 44% to 43%.

This latest poll from Fox News is actually on the positive end for President Biden. According to the RealClearPolitics average of polls, the president has a 54.9% disapproval rating and a 41.2% approval rating. Ten prior polls have Biden’s approval at or below 45%, and even as low as 35%.

President Biden’s poor poll numbers appear to be a reflection of his tumultuous first year in office. Despite this, during a Wednesday press conference, the president claimed that he has actually “outperformed.”
