When a high-ranking member of the government tells you to be afraid, then perhaps we should listen.
Kentucky Republican Sen. Rand Paul – arguable the leading voice for individual freedom in government today – says Americans should “be afraid of your government” following an announcement from the Department of Justice that the FBI would begin to investigate alleged “threats” against school officials, a move that comes as parents have been voicing opposition to Critical Race Theory and mask mandates.

“Moms at school boards are being told that they’re criminals, potential domestic terrorists, for the crime of dissent, and I think criminalizing dissent is something that we should all be appalled with,” Paul said.
On Monday, Attorney General Merrick Garland’s announcement came after the National School Boards Association sent Joe Biden a letter claiming “America’s public schools and its education leaders are under an immediate threat.” The NSBA asked the White House to consider investigating attendees of school board meetings and even using the 9/11-era Patriot Act to do so.
“I think the problem is it’s become so normalized to use government to search out and seek out your opponents,” said Paul.
The senator cited the FBI case of former Donald Trump campaign adviser Carter Page, whose communications were monitored by the agency after the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court issued warrants. These FISA warrants, Rand Paul noted, are intended to be used for foreigners.
“I have a feeling and a fear that the Left has become more authoritarian than we can really even imagine.”
Rand Paul’s assessment should send chills down the spine of every American concerned that their personal freedoms and basic rights are slowly-but-surely being stripped away as each day of Biden’s presidency passes.
The ongoing coronavirus lockdown measures, restrictions, and forced vaccinations have presented clear and useful evidence to the federal government that a majority of Americans will follow along without dissent. Most will comply and obey by the rules set forth by the federal government, as proven by the last two years.
In fact, not only will most comply, but they will deputize themselves and enforce the rules without the government needing to lift a finger.
This clear and powerful data has emboldened Biden’s government to incite further crackdowns, restrictions, and encroachment for a variety of reasons.
We can clearly see the rumblings of more government restrictions in regards to climate change – the White House admitted the climate crisis takes precedent over rising gas prices.
And now, with so-called “domestic terrorism,” mothers who dare voice their concern with racist left-wing theory will be targeted – all in the name of, you guessed it, “public safety.”
