Freedom-Loving Patriots Get Another Second Amendment Win

Between Greg Abbott, the Governor of Texas and Florida’s Governor Ron DeSantis (and a handful of other Republicans), America is on course to take back the freedoms Democrats are so tireless trying to strip away. Particularly with the Second Amendment, the Democrat Party led by Joe Biden has been newly inspired to take away the protections granted to law-abiding citizens under the Constitution.

The Republican Governor Greg Abbott made history in the Lone Star State on Wednesday when he signed HB 1927 granting Texans the right to arm themselves without the need of licensing or permits.

The new law solidifies Texas as the 21st state in the union to allow constitutional carry.

As it’s been reported, HB 1927 will go into effect September 1, 2021, which will empower Texans to protect themselves against unwanted attacks or tyrannical governments, per the U.S. Constitution.

The law allows law-abiding Texas residents over the age of 21 to carry a handgun for the purpose of self defense without first getting a license or permit from the state of federal government.

Democrat critics immediately spoke out publicly about the bill.

U.S. Rep. Veronica Escobar (D-El Paso) is one of the biggest critics of Abbott’s bill.

Gov. Abbott’s dedication to protecting the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens has been widely known. Earlier this year, Abbott vowed to sign constitutional carry if it reached his desk.

HB 1927 was passed in the Texas House of Representatives on March 21, 2021, and the Texas Senate passed it on March 22.

The other 20 states that allow constitutional carry are:

  • Alaska
  • Arizona
  • Arkansas
  • Idaho
  • Iowa
  • Kansas
  • Kentucky
  • Maine,
  • Mississippi
  • Missouri
  • Montana
  • New Hampshire
  • North Dakota
  • Oklahoma
  • South Dakota
  • Tennessee
  • Utah
  • Vermont
  • West Virginia
  • Wyoming
