Far-Left immigration radicals and progressive lawmakers in her own party are rapidly regretting their support of the Biden-Harris administration. During her first foreign trip, Kamala touched down in Guatemala – the epicenter of northern migration to the United States – to deliver a stern message to potential immigrants planning to cross the border.
The Vice President promised hope for the Central Americans who wish to immigrate to the United States, but guaranteed that an illegal trek across the border will result in a swift return home.
“You will be turned back if you come to our border,” Harris said during a press conference after a bilateral meeting with Guatemalan President Alejandro Giammattei. The two reportedly discussed the “root causes” of illegal immigration and together worked on a “solution” to quell the surge. Never did Kamala consider that perhaps the policies put forth by her administration are the “root causes” of every crisis currently underway at the US-Mexico border.

“I want to be clear to folks in this region who are thinking about making that dangerous trek to the United States-Mexico border: Do not come. Do not come. The United States will continue to enforce our laws and secure our border.”

The Vice President’s main spokesperson, Symone Sanders, told reporters that “climate change” and “economic factors” were among the the main causes of the surge in illegal immigration, not the sudden change in policy after Trump’s White House departure. In April alone, nearly 200,000 migrants were apprehended, according to ICE data.
Harris, who was tapped by President Joe Biden to lead an effort to address the root causes of the migrant surge, has faced criticism for failing to visit the southern border, where migrants have been apprehended in increasing numbers.
However, the Biden-Harris administration refuses to admit the truth about what’s actually causing the border explosion. On day one, Biden ripped up the common-sense Trump policies that ensured a safe and secure border. In particular, Trump’s border wall and his “Remain-in-Mexico” policy were a life-saver for many ICE officials and immigrants alike. The order demanded that foreign nationals remain in their own country until their day in U.S. Immigration Court. As a result, the southern border was uncrowded, unencumbered by an overwhelming amount of illegal immigrants hoping to find refuge in the United States.
