The House Intelligence Committee are demanding President Joe Biden and Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines provide more information on the origins of COVID-19, claiming that new evidence has emerged that appears to show the virus first originated in the Wuhan Institute of Virology lab.
In official letters, the Republican committee members say the administration has not been “transparent” about “what strategies were in place make seemingly informed statements early in the pandemic about the where exactly the virus originated from. ”
“Doubts have now been cast on the integrity of COVID-19-related intelligence and the validity of early judgements as the pandemic struck the U.S,” the letter to Haines said.

Biden and Haines have until May 31to meet the lawmakers’ demands.
GOP lawmakers aren’t staying silent about their demands for answers related to the origins of the virus. Sen. Rand Paul has pressed Fauci numerous times, but last week tension reached a boiling point:

However, the Dr. did agree that more investigations should occur to establish the exact origin of COVID-19.
